Phat Sidy Smokehouse: Platos Grande Rehersial - I played with Phat Sidy Smokehouse for around 10 years. This is the 1st CD we released. This was an early recording experience for me. When I listen to it now, I still enjoy the music, but I do recognise how "young" my playing is. Making this record is what really got me into Phat Sidy Smokehouse. |

Sharkskin: Ace's High - I recorded this song with DJ Nasir for Sweet Mother Recordings (now "Neverstop") back in 1993-94. We licensed it to Ubiquity Records who released it as a 12" single and on this compilation, "What's Cookin'". I wrote this tripped out head for the song inspired by my good friend LoOn-e of the Seattle hip-hop group, The High Children (THC). The name "Sharkskin" was used because we were "ruf" like that. We later used the same name for a group that was formed in association with Sweet Mother Recordings since there would be records already to back it up. The group performed live, but unfortunately never made a record. The group split and the rhythm section went on to form Maktub. |

Phat Sidy Smokehouse: Phreaky Deaky - We never really intended to make this record. We were trying to finish and release SubraBae. We had talked to the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle, WA about a CD release show. We booked a show but SubraBae wasn't ready. We told the club that it wouldn't be a CD release show. On our way out of town on a small tour, we read in the paper that they were promoting it as a CD release! What could we do? We took some new songs we'd been working on in the studio. I arranged the horns in our van and recorded them with CD Littlefield as soon as we got home from our trip. BOOM! we had made a record in under 2 weeks, just in time for the Croc show! |

Ganja Farmers: Untitled - CD Littlefield and I tracked the horns for this Ganja Farmers record over at Shoreline Community College. We recorded the horns old-school styley. We both blew into the mic at the same time on the same track. We adjusted the mix between sax and trumpet by either one of us standing nearer or farther from the mic. Cool roots reggae record. |

Sharkskin: Ace's High - I recorded this song with DJ Nasir for Sweet Mother Recordings (now "Neverstop") back in 1993-94. We licensed it to Ubiquity Records who released it as a 12" single and as a compilation, "What's Cookin'". They released it again in 1998 on this compilation, "Best Cookin'". The site I have linked to it is in French. I wrote this tripped out head for the song inspired by my good friend LoOn-e of the Seattle hip-hop group, The High Children (THC). The name "Sharkskin" was used because we were "ruf" like that. Phat Sidy Smokehouse: SubraBae - I played with Phat Sidy Smokehouse for around 10 years. This is the 3rd CD we released. I think it is very good. I was in a messed up spot when we recorded it though. I had just broken up with a girlfriend that I had been living with for a couple years. I couldn't stay there anymore and had all my stuff packed into my little Toyota Carola and was couch surfing. We spent a solid week on the horns recording in little tiny sound room about 4 foot square. I was set up to stare at a brick wall. Lot's of crazy on this one. I guess it works out though, check out he last track (#11), "Make Some Noise". |

Cornucopia: Cornucopia - CD Littlefield is a fabulous trumpet player. This is his band. He writes, arranges, rehearses, books, everythings this group. Mostly though, he spends his time playing with Karl Denson's Tiny Universe. We recorded this in dig Studios and a couple tracks on KEXP 90.3 FM in Seattle, WA's "Live Room". |

The Walkabouts: Ended Up A Stranger |

The Walkabouts: Drunken Soundtracks - I recorded horns on the title track, "Drunken Soundtracks". It's from the Ended Up A Stranger sessions recorded in August of 2001. I don't know if it is a re-released piece, song that was not released, or a remixed song. Maybe we should just buy it and find out? |

StingShark: a.k.a. Sting-Fu - StingShark really does a good job in production. He has a lot of cool ideas. I'm very proud of the way the horns came out in his solo debut. Again, me and CD Littlefield on the horns. |

Felicia Loud and the Soul: Here - I had the most enjoyable opportunity to track on this record (yes once again with CD Littlefield). Felicia is so beautiful with words. I just wish they had given me some solos; their music is so fun to play over. |

The Harmonica Pocket: Underneath Your Umbrella - Keeth Apgar is a beautiful person. He is handsome, he writes pretty songs, he sings real sweet, and has a lot of love in his heart. I love playing shows with him and it is exceptionally fun when i get to record with him. I only played on a couple songs, but it was a real nice experience. |

Adrian Xavier: R. Nature - I worked out the horns for this with my very good friend, trumpeter Bill Jones. I've worked a lot with Bill. He play for many years in Phat Sidy Smokehouse and StingShark with me. He also recorded on The Harmonica Pocket's Birds Falling From the Sky with me. I've always enjoyed playing with Adrian Xavier, he has such a good spirit. He is really working to make "good" music and I respect that. |

Ancestor Radio: Ancestor Radio - I recorded on this record a long time before it was released. I almost forgot about it, but then the release brought it to my awareness again. Me and CD track this in their studio without having heard the music first. One thing we have become very good at is "instant arranging". These guys are really cool and were willing to let us do what we do best, write and record horns! |

The Harmonica Pocket: Birds Falling From the Sky - Keeth has come a long way from his last record, Underneath Your Umbrella. I worked a lot with him not only in arranging and recording horns, but in production in general. We both got a G4 Powerbook studio around the same time. He's used his to great effect. I tried my hand at mixing a few of his songs mostly to make sure the horns sounded right. He didn't love all of my ideas, but I'm proud to say that he liked a few. This is a pretty record. |

Marmalade: Volume One - Every Thursday night at Tost in Fremont (Seattle), WA Marmalade plays improvised Groove music. We were called upon by the Pacha Mama Project to play in the Natural High Tour in France and Spain in the summer of 2005. Now, we thought this would be a lot of fun, but new we needed to have a CD if we were going to tour in Europe. We had one of our Thursday nights recorded, edited, mixed, and mastered, and this is the result. Fans love it! |
