The Fall
October 22nd, 2005
I looked to sea;
plummeting.
For I fell
a distance too deep
to discern.
My eyes, dry
from the whining wind,
looked once more
and gazed
at nothing I could see.
Still, I had slipped.
And for my failure
to grip,
I fell.
So I fall
this undiscernibly deep distance,
Gazing and falling
continuously
without end.
Yes, for my sins I fall
yet fly like an angel.
